Indoor Snowball Fight

Indoor Snowball Fight

My kids love snow!  For a little variety, we sometimes bring snow inside to play with.  The kids love building and painting the snow indoors.  With that in mind, we decided to create a simple no snow snowball fight.  Ever wonder what it would be like to have a snowball fight indoors?  Well now you safely can!  My kiddos loved this simple indoor game and cant wait to play it again.

Materials needed:

White tissue paper ~ you could also use news paper, or sheets of paper from your recycle bin.

Timer ~ set to beep at the designated time.  We set ours for 1 minute.

A group of people ready for a fun snowball fight.

How to set it up:

Push the furniture to the edges of the room and clear the floor of any toys.  You are going to need a large open area to play.  Its times like this that I wish we had a large playroom.

Mark an area on the floor to divide the space in half.  We used the line where the carpet and the wood floor join.  However, if you don’t have a natural dividing line, you could use painters tape to make your own.  If you have competitive kiddos a clear line is a must for this game.

Crumple up your paper into balls and divide into 2 equal piles.  Set one pile of snowballs on each side of the playing field.

Divide your group into teams.  We started out with even adults and kids on each side and ended with a few games of kids against the parents.  Which I have to say was the kids favorite!

Let the fun begin and the snowballs fly.

Snowball Fight Rules:

You are racing against the clock to clear all the snowballs off your side.  You do this by throwing the paper snowballs on your side onto your opponents side.

To make it a little trickier, you can only throw snowballs with one hand.

No pushing large piles of snowballs over the line.  All snowballs must be thrown across.

Once the timer beeps the game is over and no more throwing.

Count the number of snowballs on your side to determine the winner.

We had so much fun with our little indoor snowball fight and the kids LOVED it.  Especially when they were playing against the parents.
